History
Starting in the Fall of 2018, members of the Jonesboro High School Robotics Teams began a mentorship with each of our 5 Magnet Elementary Schools within Jonesboro Public Schools and soon began 13 VEX IQ Challenge teams. During the 2018-2019 competition season, Hurricane Robotics hosted an IQ Robotics Tournament for our district's teams and neighboring teams within Northeast Arkansas. We also had teams from as far away as Crossett participate. In March, we had 2 teams that qualified to participate in the 2019 VEX IQ State Championship on the campus of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR. Team #43820A won the Arkansas STEM Research Project Award which sent them to the 2019 VEX World Championships in Louisville, KY.

This year, Hurricane Robotics will be hosting a total of 3 events for our VEX IQ teams: 2 Tournaments and 1 Skills League.

Fall Tournament October 26, 2019
Skills League November 14, 2019 through January 9, 2020
